1/2 and 1/4 pallets

Establishing a 1/2 or 1/4 pallet

  • Establish the 1/2 or 1/4 pallet directly above the base unit.
  • Select PALLET as the Trade Item Unit Descriptor F7158.
  • Select Yes in the Is Trade Item a Despatch Unit F7090 field.
  • The Packaging Type Code F7157 is Pallet.
  • Select the correct size on the Platform Type Code F7167 list, for example:
    • 1/4 Euro pallet;
    • 1/2 Euro pallet, 800x600 mm;
    • Enter the pallet information.
  • We recommend providing information on the packaging material.

In addition to this, you must establish a GTIN-coded pallet in the packaging hierarchy branch and specify how the 1/2 or 1/4 pallet will be transported, unless the 1/2 or 1/4 pallet is a logistics unit per se.

Establishing a GTIN-coded logistics 1/1 pallet

Each logistics 1/1 pallet must have its own GTIN code:

  • Establish the 1/1 pallet above the 1/2 or 1/4 pallet.
  • Select PALLET as the Trade Item Unit Descriptor F7158.
  • Select Yes in the Is Trade Item a Despatch Unit F7090 field.
  • The Packaging Type Code F7157 is one of the pallets available on the list of packaging types:
    • Euro pallet 1,200x800;
    • FIN pallet (ISO2), 1,200x1,000.
  • We recommend providing information on the packaging material.

1/2 pallet is a logistics unit

If the 1/2 or 1/4 pallet is a logistics unit, it is not packed on the 1/1 pallet but treated as a logistics unit. This requires never transporting the 1/2 or 1/4 pallet on top of a 1/1 pallet.

    • 1/4 Euro pallet;
    • 1/2 Euro pallet, 800x600 mm;
    • Enter the pallet information.
